From the 1st of January 2015 all students undertaking accredited training, whether they are a new student, a continuing student or a returning student they will be required to supply their Unique Student Identifier (USI) number and have it verified by their RTO before a statement of attainment or qualification can be issued to them.
Please note that this number is issued by the Commonwealth Government and is in addition to your TAFE student ID, it is not a replacement.
What is a USI?
A USI gives you access to your online USI account which is made up of ten numbers and letters and will look something like this: 3AW88YH9U5. Eventually your USI account will contain all of your nationally recognised training records and results achieved from 1 January 2015 onwards.
